O'Reilly may be stupid, but he wasn't on the dumb side of this argument.
Rappers need to stop using excuses their contemporaries in the 90's used. They were reporters for the hood, but no more.
The mainstream face of hip hop markets a violent materialistic lifestyle, which does have a negative effect on kids. The music isn't reflective like the music of Jay-Z or Aceyalone, it's just heavilly marketed bullshit.
Damon Dash is a joke, he spins like any other corporate tool. It's like when Nike boasts their inner city charity work; the funds of which came from taking advantage of another underclass.
There's a difference between skillful gangsta rap, and the stuff most commericial rappers spit today.
