Underwhelmingly HUGE update. More HUGE than The Hundreds even.

Howdy y'all, I reckon it's 'bout time I grace collectiv3 once again with some o' that groin grabbingly fun content.

I've been working hard on t-shirt designs and been neglecting this site a bit. I know, It's been a minute since I last updated, so I have a lot to cover, if you actually read what I write, kudos to you. Hell, even if you just skim through the pics and partially read the captions, come find me, I'll give you a partially eaten twizzler for your efforts.

I guess I'll try and make this somewhat chronological. First off, as a lover of the west coast culture and music scene:

The newly reunited Dogg Pound, also known as Daz and Kurupt, are coming with a new nicely budgeted studio album, overlooked by Snoop Dogg called "Cali Iz Active". On April 22nd, they filmed their video for the single of the same name. This day was lovingly coined "West Coast Independence Day" We'll see how long that'll last. haha.

This was no ordinary video shoot, as a large number of the west coast hip hop scene made an appearance. The shoot was held at the Elysian Park in downtown Los Angeles and in attendance were Snoop Dogg, Daz Dillinger, Kurupt, Battlecat, Julio G, Fred Wreck, DJ Quik, Ice Cube, WC, King Tee, Roscoe, Warren G, Too Short, Kam, Xzibit, Soopafly, Tyrese, MC Eiht, Mykestro, Glasses Malone, Bishop Lamont, J. Wells, Playa Hamm, Jelly Roll, Terrace Martin, Krondon, Dilated Peoples, Big Boy, JT the Bigga Figga, Daddy V, Crazy Toones, and countless others.

This is historic because this kind of unity among west coast rappers hasn't happened in a very long time.

Pics of all the west coast folks, kickin it together.

"This reminds me of the Nuthin' But A "G" Thang' video," Quik, standing next to Xzibit, said of the camaraderie, "and that video is like 12 years old."

Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg, Nuthin' but a G Thang

Okay, next up is some pics of April 27th, when me and the boys ventured downtown yet again, to shop and talk. Which made it more like a girl's day out. We linked arms and whenever boys came around, we huddled together in some sort of protective square formation to discourage come-ons.

This is the Silver Snail, pretty much the best place to pick up comics, toys and other nerdy merchandise in Toronto. If my memory serves me correctly, this store been around for over 25 years.

Yeah we just saw this dude in his pimped out fur coat and his niiice motorcycle on Queen Street thought it was interesting. Especially considering it was pretty damn warm outside.

This is what Capsule looks like from the outside. Located in the Yorkville area. They notibly were carrying those SupremexNike Blazer joints or however those sneaks are called.

And here is, very likely the dopest picture of the outing. Rocky wearing his Hundreds Paisley hoodie while in front of the Paisley shop. Place is actually right beside the Uncle Otis shop. We should really get this to Bobby Hundy so he could put it on Telemundo on The Hundreds Website.

On April 30th. Pavan and I payed a visit to fellow v3'er Winnie at her school's art gallery on Mainstreet Unionville in Markham. I think I speak for the both of us were mighty impressed by her work. I really don't think we'll ever stop being impressed, she's pretty much the only really legit artist amongst us. I think I've once stated that she reduces me to an infant with her talents.

Here we are. I have no idea what I'm talking to Winnie about. It was along the lines of like, "...and the poop was THIS long". haha. It really is a pleasure conversing with her. She should really stop being so elusive. You reading this girlie?! Come hang out with us unsavory characters more.
Here's one of her pieces, a rendering of architect Gehry's work. Reaaally nice.

Here's a piece by one of her class mates. Dude is insanely skilled at painting on footwear, he really needs to get into the custom sneaker biz and make a killing.

And finally, the piece de la resistance, the Thug Life painting. It's always great to see Winnie's work and I hope in the near future one of our tees will be blessed with her art. Can't wait until she gets her online portfolio goin, which the v3 crew is more than happy to help with.

Oh yeah, the OCAD grad show was actually quite impressive and I got some inspiration from it. Thanks goes out to Ko-man for pointing it out.

Anyway, I think I'm finished rambling, let's see if I can push Rocky into getting some of that tee collection posted, or possibly some pics of his recent visit to LA.
