The Fairer Sex

So first of all, if you havent checked out the interview with Sarah Angela yet, you should, its a good read, props to my man Will for taking the time to do it up proper. Can't wait to work with you Sarah, we're not gonna let u get off the hook with just an interview!

Speaking of females, this is kind of what i'd like to touch on for a second.
Streetwear is a male dominated industry, but fashion isn't. Going and looking into what women to choose to wear and do to their bodies is much more complex then any sneakerhead or hypebeaster. This video actually does touch on some of the differences between streetwear for girls and mainstream fashion, and it features the preeminment queen bitch Leah herself.

Sure guys may know about selvedge denim, have 100s of Jordans, and have tons of dope looking tees, but it doesnt compare to the research that girls go through to find the perfect fit , from the shoes and bag, to matching undergarments (like TI would say, match your panties with ya bras, get ya shit together).

I came accross some real interesting shit lately over on Tab's / MOBs blog over at http://www.marriedtothemobnyc.com/SHOP1/blog.php. Tabatha may only be 16, but her blog shows maturity, and blatant honestly giving the world insight to what one slightly crazy female thinks about the world around her.

One thing i thought she was most on-point about, is the blatantly chasing of trends by girls who mindlessly follow the style tips of Flare or US Weekly, focusing on what hillary duff, or jennifer aniston is wearing. The thing that most people DONT understand about fashion, and never will is that these celebs dont even dress themselves. They have stylists help them pick out outfits anyway, and sometimes their stylists are already seasons behind in the fashion world. By the time the stuff reaches your local H&M , it'll be a wrap. If people just ignored trends and did what made them feel most comfortable, looked best in, i think people would be much more interesting to look at.

Like Tabatha was extremply on point about, who the fuck went and made these female celebrities fashion icons anyway. A girl like britney spears or Jessica Simpson (taking style tips from girls with barely a 3 digit IQ) do girls really want to dress like them? I suppose they just want acceptence from their friends and such. But no matther how you slice it, BOHO is disgusting and not a good look. I find it more repulsive then attractive. Check out the olsen twins, not exactly the stuff masturbatory male fantasies are made of.

However its pretty hard these days as every store will sell you the same styles with slight twists. Its hard for anything to reamin truly indepedent, and i feel streetwear has been able to withstand the barrage and appeal of going totally mainstream, and i hope it stays that way.

Anyway ive gone on several twists and turns through my rant , I think thats enough, but to end off , check out this Female blog following all styles of fashion. Note that its actually much more detailed and opinionated then slamXhype, or HB. Instead of endlessly promoting and hyping up wares, she offers some unique insight , as well as a dose of gossip ( i can do without the gossip though)
